Eric Olsen is an award-winning writer, editor, and consultant with more than twenty years of publishing experience in Washington, DC. He has worked as managing editor of World & I: Innovative Approaches to Peace, as associate executive editor for the Washington Times Magazine Division, and most recently as a writer and consultant for the Global Peace Festival Foundation. He has written widely on the arts, the environment, and international peace building, with a special interest in America's freedom heritage.
The technology of publishing has been revolutionized in the age of the Internet, yet the principles of good communication remain largely unchanged. Effective writing as always depends upon clarity, economy, and skillful use of the evolving English idiom. Effective photography employs many of the same principles, while digital photo editing, flash, and other technologies have further expanded the creative role of visual communications on the web.
